Mold Texturing was invented by Mold-Tech back in 1955 as a means to hide molding flaws
in plastic parts. The Mold Texturing process has helped to eliminate the need for painting or
wrapping millions of plastic parts which has helped thousands of companies produce products
faster, cheaper and with less impact on the environment.

MicroMatte is a low-gloss technology that was designed to help achieve ultra low-gloss levels
on plastic parts. Prior to MicroMatte’s introduction in 2004, the only way to achieve low-gloss
levels was through either painting or wrapping parts. By eliminating the need for paint to
achieve low-gloss, MicroMatte will not only help reduce your products negative impact on the
environment, it will also save you money.

Tribocoat® Nickel Teflon mold coating was developed to help improve the injection molding
process. Tribocoat® helps to keep parts from sticking, eliminating the need for using harmful
mold release. By creating an ultra slick surface, Tribocoat® will help reduce your part scrap and
reduce your parts cycle time which will in-turn reduce your energy consumption saving you time
and money.

Model-Tech Prototype Texturing was invented by Mold-Tech to help reduce the need for
building prototype tooling. By applying Model-Tech textures directly to plastic parts, companies
can save thousands in expensive tooling costs and in-turn reduce their impact on the

Virtual Texturing is an effective way to view virtual parts with any texture imaginable. The
Virtual Texturing process allows designer’s to instantly review any texture on any surface
without the need to produce any physical products. Virtual Texturing not only saves time and
money, it will also help you to minimize your companies environmental footprint.

Adding Engravings to tooling is a great way for customers to add important product information or to simply add a company logo to their parts. By eliminating the need to add stickers or films to parts, Engravings can save companies thousands of dollars and help reduce their impact on the environment. Any information that can be put on a sticker, can be Engraved into tooling.
