Primeform anti-scratch

Primeform is supported by a new plasma technology to increase the wear resistance of steel, reducing micro-scratches during production. This process ensures a scratch-resistant surface and improves the extraction of the plastic piece during molding. Repairs, welding and polishing can be done without repeating the Primeform is the perfect treatment for high-polished mold finishes and Lens tooling applications.

Laser Hardening

As an innovating leader in research and development, we are looking to bring technologies to you that add true value. Our laser hardening process hardens steel in localized areas, eliminating the deformation and potential warpage caused from heat-treating.  Hardening in local areas can extend the life of sharp parting lines, high-abrasion areas, eliminate galling, and extend tool wear.  This technology is effective for a variety of applications and molds, including small tools.   Laser hardening services are currently available in Europe via Piazza Rosa and WCS.

Exclusively available at Standex Engraving Mold-Tech, Tribocoat® is a proven composite electroless coating that has the best combination of corrosion and wear resistance, dry lubrication and adhesion properties. Extend mold life, reduce cycle time and enable a quick effortless release with this performance-engineered coating.

Release Coat

Release Coat is a proprietary mold surface treatment developed by Standex Engraving Mold-Tech to produce injection-molded parts free of defects.  Release Coat recontours mold surfaces at the micro level to cover pores, crevices and any etch-marks for superior mold release. It creates smoothness to create low gloss levels, increase scratch resistance and minimize stains, tiger striping, ghosting and other inconsistencies.
